PlattForm Advertising held its annual holiday event at the Ritz Charles in Overland Park, Kan., on Dec. 9.

Many PlattForm employees were honored for their contribution to the company that began in the basement of a suburban house and grew to become Kansas City’s No. 1 ad agency.

Three employees were singled out and rewarded for their hard work and dedication: Kris Little was promoted to Vice President of Interactive Marketing, Ashley Lopez was named the overall winner in an employee-based SERVICE award competition, and Erin Cockman was awarded "Unsung Hero."

In his new role, Little will manage the direction of the Interactive Marketing Strategy, Affiliate Marketing and Compliance teams. He’ll also continue to support new initiatives for PlattForm within the Interactive department. Little began his career at PlattForm in January 2003 as a media buyer.

He then moved to the Client Services department as an account executive and rose to associate director of client services before making a name for himself in the Interactive department.

Lopez’s overall SERVICE award is based on an annual PlattForm program called Holiday Cash.  Each denomination of holiday cash represents a different company value – Synergy, Excellence, Relationships, Vision, Integrity, Culture and Employees.

Throughout November and December, employees issued holiday cash to fellow employees who exemplified each value. Awards were given to the employees who received the most holiday cash for that value.

Lopez received the most holiday cash overall. For earning the overall SERVICE award, Lopez received a trip for two – an all-expense paid cruise or trip to an exotic getaway.

The Unsung Hero Award is a PlattForm tradition, to honor those that work hard and tend to go unnoticed in their supporting or 'behind the scenes' roles. Erin has put in countless hours as a PlattForm proofer, ensuring that our client work goes out error free. In fact, she's gone four years without a single error. Now that's something worth celebrating.
