Friendly folks

We have the friendliest company in KC! Granted this is a bold statement, but it is in fact the truth. If you don’t already know this or believe me, then take a trip around the building.

It is impossible to pass someone in the hall at PlattForm without them smiling at you, or saying “hi,” “hello,” “how are you?” etc. When I first came here this summer as an intern, I just attributed this friendliness to my extreme good looks and charm. However, now that I have been here as a full-time employee, I realize – well yes, I’m sure my good looks and charm help a lot – that PlattFormers truly are super friendly! And I love that!

I must say it’s a little intimidating at first – but in a good way. In high school my friends always told me “you look so angry in the hallways” [I’m not a big smiler]. Years later I found out that many of the kids I went to school with were intimidated by me, which I kind of think is funny. But when I started here, I wanted to change that. I think I have, but I’m kind of a work in progress, anyway.

One may have no clue who they are smiling at and, being the new kid on the block, there is a 90 percent chance I don’t know you, but it doesn’t matter, we’re all smiles here! So next time you’re having a rough day and you feel like you don’t have a friend in the world, just walk around the building, and I guarantee you’ll be all smiles in 1 minute or less.
